Georgia is a country located at the intersection of Western Asia and Eastern Europe. It covers a total area of 69,700 square kilometres. The total population of Georgia is about 3.72 million. The capital of Georgia is Tbilisi. There are three ethnic enclaves in Georgia – Abkhazia in the north-western part, Ajaria in the south-western part and South Ossetia in the northern part.
Georgia is a mountainous county. The country is divided into two halves (eastern and western halves) by the Likhi range. The western part was called as Colchis and the eastern part was called as Iberia. The summer season in Georgia is hot and winter season is mild. Heavy rainfall occurs in the subtropical southwest region.
